Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made through closdejakub.com.

We sell alcoholic products. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. We verify age at account sign-in, and we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we cannot reasonably confirm that the buyer is of legal age. Alcohol will not be handed over to anyone unable to prove they are 18 or older at the moment of delivery.

• All prices are shown in euros (€) and include 21% Dutch VAT.
• We take care to display products, vintages, and prices accurately, but obvious errors (e.g. an evident pricing mistake) do not bind us, and we may cancel and refund an affected order.
• Product availability is limited; stock shown on the site is indicative and a wine may sell out before your order is confirmed.

• Placing an order and completing payment constitutes an offer to buy.
• The contract of sale is concluded when we confirm your order (order confirmation email).
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example if a product is unavailable, if age cannot be verified, or in case of an evident error — in which case any payment made is refunded in full.

• Payments are processed exclusively via Stripe using iDEAL.
• Payment is taken at the time of order. We do not store your payment card or bank details; these are handled directly by Stripe.

• All orders are delivered personally by us, within Amsterdam and the surrounding area (approximately 30 km). We do not ship by courier.
• We will arrange a delivery time with you after your order is confirmed.
• Proof of age (18+) may be requested on delivery. If it cannot be provided, the products will not be handed over, and the order may be cancelled in line with section 2.
• Risk of the goods passes to you on delivery.

Your statutory right of withdrawal and our returns procedure are set out in our separate Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

We fulfil orders with care. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the order concerned. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law.

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have.
